I’m so stupid. I logged myself out of my bank account. I went downtown yesterday….spend the rest of my money at victoria secrets and then I wanted to get new money. So I walked in front of this ATM, and I totally forgot my pin. Of course I was guessing around a bit. Went to a different machine…different machine….they logged me off. No I have to borrow money from Scott and Ellen. They were like “did you spend all the money we gave you?”…so that’s the part I don’t like about it. They know now that I spend all the money really fast. Whatever. I was real mad at me.

Two more nights in Chicago. Then I’m going back to Cologne. But not right away. Marcus is picking me up from Amsterdam and we stay there for a couple days. I never been downtown Amsterdam, just the airport. I’m excited.

ok..let’s start off with some complaining today. I HATE PURPLE! i want this site to be changed so bad.

Lots of things happened the last couple of days. I got back from Wisconsin Dells this afternoon. I went there with my host family. Was fun. The hotel had a fun water prk. Lots of slides. I liked it just like a little kid. I’m still a little kid. I like it, that I enjoy those kind of things, too. And we did some boat rides. Took silly pics dressed up like the early last century. Ate lots of fudge..yumm. A fun vacation. I’m glad I got to go with them.

When I came back this afternoon from Wisconsin I went to see Cirque du Soleil. I loved the music. i got goose bumbs from it. So pretty.I bought the Cd. When I get back to Cologne I have to show Nicki the music. I would love to make a coreography to one of the songs for our show that we going to have in a long long time….Inspired.

On the way back on the train i met this break dance guy, Ennis. He was actually real cute. When you meet people on the train, it feels a bit weird at first. But fun guy.
I was sad at the train station though. but it was nice to talk to somebody, instead of sitting on the train gettin all sad.

I’m tired now. I wanted to get dinner tonight with Harper, but he didn’t. Instead I’m having some carrots and some Chewys…sad.

I’m leaving Chicago in five days.

This past weekend was fun. I went out with Ark and his friends. They always drink way to much. So I got real drunk. We went to some club or bar in wrigleyville. I actually don’t like those typical sports bars, but it was fun to hang out with Ark.
Around 3.ooam the club closed, and when I got outside and met Patrick. He used to be Kathryn’s boyfriend. Sge was an Au Pair in Chicago just like me. She lives in London now. We hung out a bit and then I went home.
Sunday I was real lazy. Basically just sleeping. My head was spinning. Stupid hang overs.

In about two hours I’m going to Wisconsin Dells with my host family. Should be fun. I like waterparks.

jep, alles ok daddy! Sorry dass ich mich nicht melde, aber die Zeit ist einfach zu kurz…keine Zeit zum teflonieren.

Well, this week has been hot. Just the weather though ;-) I don’t like Harry Potter. It’s definetly a book for kids. I started reading “Nanny’s Diary”. This is fun. I laugh a lot. Reminds me a lot of my Au Pair life last year. So fun. So Harry Potter has to wait. Maybe forever. Or untill I have kids myself, who knows.

I got a free Jamba Juice this morning. I guess everybody in Chicago did, because I saw at least 200 people at Diversy, running around with a smoothi.
Susanne is doing good with the kids. But since the weather is so humit, you can’t be outside with them too much. So we jump from air condition to air condition. Into the car…out of the car..into the Kohl’s children’s museum.

Tomorrow I take Dylan to see the shark exhibition at the Sheed Aquarium. I’m excited.

This evening I showed Susanne a little bit around the city. We drove by Bridgette’s school and downtown and to Bucktown. And we had a coffee at the earwax cafe.

So the week so far has been fun actually, even if I was really upset earlier this week. Yesterday was fun, too. I saw Leticia, my Au Pair friend from last year. She is still an Au Pair. First we went to the pool at Wrightwood park with her kid Maya and I took Maddie with me. Than we went out last night. We had a lot to talk about. Was fun. We wanted to go to the Bar Celona, but it was too crowded. So we were both hungry, so we went to the Pick me up cafe and had dinner. I love the vegan french toast there….yumm. And then we went to Innjoy to have a drink. That was fun. They played Reggae music there. I love reggae..fun, fun. Well, but apparently,I think stairs and me is not a good combination. But this time I WASN’T DRUNK AT ALL!! I just had one Gin-Tonic. Whatever.

We had Dylans birthday party yesterday. It was real fun. We played some fun games like hot potatoe and pin the donkeys tail..I painted the donkey, everybody thought it looked like the donkey from Shrek..I love that movie.
Matiss and Harper had a little juggling show..the kids liked it. The kids were just siting there with there mouth wide open..boaahhhh.
While the party was going on, Susanne arrived. She was exhausted I think. She must have been like “there are twenty people in the backyard, what’s going on”..but she did good. The kids like here.
Today I helped her, showed her around, got her a Dominicks card..”buy one, get one free”. In the afternoon I took a bike ride with Bridgette. It was nice to spend some time with her. She is doing really good without the training wheels. We went all the way from Ardmore to Foster beach. Got some ice cream and then we went a bit more further..and went back. It got real hot.
Well, time is running. I’m kind of happy to go back home. Weird. But I’m also excited about the next two weeks, until I leave Chicago. Hopefully I’ll be back next summer though. I would like to do an intership at an Elementary school. Maybe it works out. We’ll see.
Last night I played this fun game with Matiss. I wasn’t real good at it. It’s called Set. Fun. Maybe it makes me smarter :-). I should buy it.

time’s running

Susanne is still not here. I’m glad now, that I’ve changed my flight. I’ll propably working next week too. She might be coming Sunday, right at Dylan’s birthday party. Great timeing…
Today it was so sticky out. I had fun though. I just got back from a theatre play in Belmont. It was a play, from people at Ellen’s work. I think it is a theatre group for people that are mentally ill and people that are not. The play was called “the politics of roots and branches”, it was basically about the actors own lifes.
Yesterday I started reading Harry Potter. First book. I guess I’m the only person in this entier world who has not been reading it yet, sorry. I’m going to bed now and see if I like Harry Potter.

Today my tickets for Cirque du Soleil were in the mail. I’m so excited to go and see them. I always wanted to, but it never worked out.

So, we were supposed to pick up Susanne at the airport tonight, but apparently right this day there is no electricity in large parts of eastern US. Crazy. I guess we’ll just wait.
I guess I get to sleep in my bed again….

my lip

Wednesday, August 13th, 2003

I bumped my lip today real bad. I was swinging Maddie on the swing and then she was like “stop, I want to spin.” So I thought, ok just grab the swing and stop the swing. I was behind her. So she swung back from the front. And then my teeth chopped of my lip, because she bumped into me with her head. I didn’t had a mirror to look, so I asked Bridgette, she is seven “look my lip, does it look bad?”..she goes, yea a little. Well, when we got home I looked in the mirror..it wasn’t that bad.,,just a big hole in my lip. almost..auiiii

Iron Maiden

Monday, August 11th, 2003

“Hey, you want to go to iron maiden?” “Iron Maiden?? This metal band…mhhhh, sure why not!” It was actually quite fun..All those Harley biker typ of persons, I was so not dressed for this kind of event. Nice skirt, fancy tank top. An old black shirt with some iron maiden patches or sepultura or whatever..freakin metal band patches would have done a better job. It was so far away like an hour drive..some tweeter (reminds me of tweety) center or whatever, somewhere, nowhere.

it’s been a while…

Saturday, August 9th, 2003

So my first week in Chicago is almost over..went fast. It’s kinda weird to be back, because it feels like I’ve never left. Or just for a weekend.
Dylan is talking now, which is fun. He is so cute.
Today we went to see Bridgette in this little “Annie” performance they did at her camp. It was really cute. I made her costume. She was an orphen, so I made her dress look real dirty and I put patches on it. i should do costume design…

Yesterday night I went out to get dinner with Harper and John and Hiromi, to Rezas. I had a hard time understanding what they were talking about, even more, because they ended up talking about computer stuff. So yesterday I had my first “legal” drink in the US, yeahhaa.
After I hung out with Harper for a while….was nice to see him again. Yea

I might gonna extend my stay, because my host family’s next Au Pair has trouble getting her visa. I see it, I’m not going to get anything done in my semester break, which is ok, sort of..

my contact just got stuck in my eye..ahhh…help…….
