Sonntag war ja das Gentlemankonzert. Anna und ich sind schon gegen 15h richtung Bonn aufgebrochen, weil wir ja mit der Karte freien Eintritt in die Kunsthalle hatten und da ist ja im Moment die Guggenheim Ausstellung. Vorher nochmal schnell zu McDonalds zum Mittagessen. Ich find ja Kunstausstellungen immer super, natürlich auch die Bilder, aber das Beste sind die Menschen die immer etwas unheimlich tolles über Bilder dahinphilosophieren. Wir standen vor einem Bild, ich weiß leider nicht mehr genau von welchem Maler, aber ich beschreib mal kurz das Bild: Knallebunt. Zimmer mit Blick auf den kleinen Balkon, die zwei Türen die Balkon von Zimmer trennen sind nach innen aufgemacht. Ich glaub es standen noch Stühle im Zimmer mit verschnörkelten Dingen drauf. Alles, wie schon gesagt, knallebunt. Hatte halt so ein bisschen südländisches Flair möchte man sagen. Nun ja, da stand so ein Pärchen davor und die Frau meint mit einer etwas versnopt näseligen Stimme zu ihrem Mann (natürlich in einem moderaten Museumsflüsterton): “Meinst du, dass Menschen die Nordeuropa noch nicht verlassen haben dieses Bild überhaupt verstehen?” Was für ein Scheiß. Die Ausstellung war aber sehr schön. Uns hat ein Bild auch sehr inspiriert. so dass Anna und ich demnächst mal einen Kreativtag machen und ein riesiges Bild für den Flur malen.

Das Konzert war auch gut. Und wir hatten das perfekte Timing. Genau als wir durch die Eingangskontrolle waren und uns was zu essen geholt haben fing es an zu regnen…aber wie. Selbst unterm Dach spürte man noch so einen Sprühregen. Die Vorbands waren auch gut. Hätt ich gar nicht gedacht. D-Flame und NoSliw(?). D-Flame war super. Ich hatte den eher so als Sido-mein Block Verschnitt in Erinnerung. War aber sehr sympathisch und tanzbar
Gentleman war natürlich gut. Aber ich kann verstehn wenn Leute sagen, dass ein Konzert reicht. es ist halt immer dasselbe. Aber schön, besonders Intoxication…ah.

Richtig klasse find ich es hier mittlerweile. Am schönsten ist allerdings immer der Weg hierher. ich lauf immer. Dauert so 20 Minuten. Kopfhörer auf und loslaufen… das könnt ich den ganzen Tag machen. Immer nur laufen und Musik hören. Herrlich. Hab jetzt auch endlich die Arctic Monkeys für mich entdeckt, nachdem mir mittlerweile 3 Freunde davon vorgeschwärmt haben.

Bin ein bisschen beunruhigt, weil bei den Rodmans seit zwei Wochen keiner ans Telefon geht. ich hoffe natürlich stark, dass die wieder zu hause sind wenn ich komme, oder zumindest nen Schlüssel unter die Fußmatte geschoben haben.

So, dann stürz ich mich mal wieder in einen arbeitsreichen Tag im Lesesaal, und vielleicht, wenn ich ganz fleißig bin, werde ich mit einer guten Nachricht belohnt…

Two more weeks and I’m heading off to Chicago. I’m really excited to go, but I still have lots of stuff to do for school. I haven’t been doing a lot the past weeks. I worked a lot, so I’m not broke after a few days in Chicago. And after working from 9 a.m. till 6 p.m. I don’t really have energy left to sit down and write papers.
I guess there are some really nasty people in the library. Anne just wrote about a guy picking his nose and eating his buggers and today I almost passed out in the computer room because of a guy who really smells like he hasn’t seen water in a looong time. He looks like a really old professor who is glued to his chair. I guess real professors don’t have time for trivial things like washing or brushing teeth…..

Well I gotta go, at least pretending to do something…

Apparently it turned out that I was quite busy yesterday. I borrowed a book at uni for one of my papers. It had about 150 pages. I borrowed it around 6 pm and I then sat in the reading room at uni till 1o pm and read the whole book. It actually feels damn good to get some stuff done. Tonight I think I’m going to the reading room again. I like the atmosphere there too. All the books and the people who are reading. And you are not as lonely as you would be at home. And the best is that there is no TV!

Ok, gotta go. I’m still at work. I already had a guided tour through the Kölnarena this morning. For the first time it actually was quite fun to guide the tour.

I wish someone would write all my papers. That’s really all I wish for. Stupid, stupid papers…
My feet hurt because I bought those fancy slippers. They look nice, but you can’t move in them. It hurts. But I shouldn’t be moving around too much anyways. I should sit on my bottom and write, write, write…

Soon I can have bees wax again, since Harper has not send me any in three years, I have to go and get it myself. That’s really all I’m going to Chicago for. And green skittles, and my host family and Harper. So I guess it’s not just really just because of bees wax.
I’m writing nonsense as you can tell, just to keep myself from reading that book about interreligious dialogues, which is actually quite interesting but it all gets a mark for dumb or boring when it is for papers, I just hate writing papers.

I love that movie. I saw it yesterday, probably the tenth time… I’m not really in the mood for writing. Which does not only count for my blog but for my papers as well. I’m so moody these days. I feel like the weather outside, rainy… sad. Just want tp cuddle up in my bed and sleep.
